Fab 40's

Sacramento’s Fab Forties come alive each winter with sparkling lights, bold colors, and an unforgettable holiday spirit. Exploring this festive neighborhood has become a beloved tradition for countless families — and there’s no better way to experience it than on Sac Brew Bike’s 90-minute Fab Forties Light Tour. Round up your loved ones, hop on the bike, and pedal through the twinkling streets as you sing your favorite Christmas carols. And of course, bring some hot chocolate and a stash of cookies to enjoy along the way!

Imaginarium

Imaginarium 360 at Cal Expo is Northern California’s massive holiday light festival with over 15 million LED lights, interactive light displays, infinity-mirror rooms, and larger-than-life creatures. Along with the walk-through light wonderland, you’ll find a free nightly circus, carnival rides and games, and even an ice skating rink. It runs from November 21 to January 4, making it a magical, all-ages winter tradition.

Dovewood Court

Dovewood Court’s famous Christmas display transforms the entire cul-de-sac into a glowing holiday wonderland, with every home decorated in bright, colorful lights, festive inflatables, and themed scenes. The neighborhood’s over-the-top decorations draw visitors from all over the region, and you can enjoy the experience either by walking through the beautifully lit street or by driving slowly past the dazzling displays. It’s a cheerful, family-friendly tradition that captures the magic of the season.

Old Sacramento Waterfront

Gather the whole family and make your way to the Old Sacramento Waterfront for a free holiday lighting celebration! The festivities kick off with the lighting of the 60-foot Christmas tree on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. Throughout the rest of the month, you can experience Old Sacramento’s Theatre of Lights — a dynamic, 20-minute live performance that brings “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” to life. Each show includes a fun visit from Jack Frost and concludes with St. Nick illuminating the massive Christmas tree.
